Idle Angels Game Basics

Angels are one of 3 classes - Archer, Warrior and Mage. However, they are not like traditional class types where you would expect the Warrior in the front and Archers/Mages in back line. Classes are treated more like factions in this game. Each of the classes have a combat advantage/disadvantage over one another. A class with an advantage will deal 20% more damage, while a class with a disadvantage will deal 10% less damage.

You can gain additional attack/HP in combat by grouping certain Angels together on a team. You can review which Angels group together for more combat bonuses by reviewing the Line up Fate window when selecting your team.

The "Player" character that you start with will always be in your Line up and cannot be removed. She can be ranked up by obtaining new Angels. The more higher tier Angels you obtain, the higher rank you can increase your "Player" Angel.

Your primary team has space for 6 Angels (You, the "Player" plus 5 Angels of your choice). So focus only on leveling up a primary team of 6. As you obtain new stronger Angels, you can use the "Inherit" feature to transfer your levels and gear onto the new Angel.

At level 50, you will start getting Substitute slots for your team. Substitute Angels join the battle when an Angel on your original team dies. You will eventually get a total of 6 substitute slots for a total of 12 Angels you will need to level up and equip.

How to transfer equipment & levels to a new Angel (Inherit):
When you obtain a new higher tier Angel you can use the "Inherit" feature to transfer the levels and equipment of an old Angel onto the new Angel. To do this, go to the Battle tab, and select the "Line-up". You can directly replace the old Angel with the new one in your line-up and a window will pop up asking if you want to "Inherit" the levels & equipment onto the new Angel. Or you can transfer without putting an Angel in your line-up by clicking the "Inherit" button on the right side of the Line-up window.

Angel Waifus & Affinity:
You will recieve various gift items during game play. You will be able to give those gifts to your favorite Angels to increase their Affinity. The higher an Angel's Affinity, the more stats bonuses she will gain.

Once an Angel has enough Affinity, you will have the option to give her a Promise Vow. Not only will a Vowed Angel get an additional stat bonus, but you will unlock an exclusive Wedding dress skin for her.

Wonderland Defense Battle
Idle Angels has a mini tower defense battle mode where you defend a life crystal from waves of enemies. You'll first select a few Angels you want to take with you into the defense. As you defend waves you'll be able to rank up and upgrade your Angels in addition to collect and upgrade equpiment. In many stages, dealing with the first wave is most difficult. You will need to choose your Angels carefully. Some stages open with many enemies on the first wave, so you'll want to select Angels with AoE type damage to clear them out before they reach your life crystal. However, you'll also want to make sure you have a strong single target damage Angel on your team to defeat the final boss of each stage.

Idle Angels Beginner Tips

• You will obtain "Quick Combat Scrolls" early on from New player gifts. Check your "Bag" regularly for them and use them as soon as you get them. They give you extra idle rewards and will help you level up quicker early in the game and unlock more features and content in game.
• Level up your Angel's skills, even if you never use them including low tier Angels. Increasing Angel skills will increase your Angel Temple level which increases all Angels' power.
• Angels that are assigned to Daily & Adventure Encounters gain a little Affinity. Make sure to select Angels you want to build Affinity for these Encounters.
• Try to get your Artifact crafting to level 3 whenever you have extra Smelt points. You'll be able to use extra Artifacts you craft to upgrade your existing ones.
